“I feel that beauty is readily available and immediate in our landscape. As a painter, I want to get the land and sky down on paper and canvas. I want to capture the view and nail it down. I want to show how it makes me feel so other people can experience the same feeling when looking at my work.
I paint my impressions so form and color are primary in my work. I am looking to evoke a mood or a reminder of a particular place.”
