About PAAWM

Plein Air Artists of West Michigan is a fellowship of artists who find inspiration and artistic growth through the challenges of painting directly from nature.

Our goal is to create a friendly, cooperative network for area plein air painters by offering opportunities to paint at locations across the region, plan museum and studio
tours, host workshops, support member shows and encourage a deeper connection with the proud tradition of plein air painting.

PAAWM welcomes new artists at any level wanting to learn and advance their development as artists.

Membership is by participation. PAAWM artists are encouraged to attend as many paint outs and PAAWM events as they can fit into their schedule. We are always looking for artists willing to volunteer to organize one or more of the following: paint outs, art shows, field trips, work shops etc. If you are great at organizing and have a flare for making projects happen please let us know.
